What is meant by a 'rental'?

When a customer enjoys use of a new machine, built to its specific requirement, for a predetermined period of time, inclusive of a full maintenance contract. The Supplier retains ownership of the machine once the contract term expires.

What is meant by a 'financed' deal?

A forklift is purchased and financed through a financial institution, with administrative assistance from the supplier. Depending on the contract, the customer may retain ownership of the machine once the contract term expires.

What is an outright purchase deal?

There are two types of outright purchase deals. One is where a customer purchases a new machine and pays cash for such a machine . The other is where a customer directly finances a new machine through a financial institution, which pays the supplier for the full purchase price of the machine upfront. Both of these scenarios are generally preceded by a CAPEX approval process.

When is it mandatory to take a maintenance contract?

Normally when either the supplier or the financial institution retains ownership of the machine at the end of the contract term.

What is meant by 'hire'?

A standard machine can be hired for general applications, for an uncommitted period of time, including daily, weekly or monthly at a predetermined rate. There are no ownership options for hire.

How do I determine what capacity forklift I require?
